The Poolrooms I wandered through the endless labyrinth of white ceramic tile, the lukewarm blue-green water lapping at my ankles. The rooms and corridors were all different sizes and shapes, and they connected to each other in a way that made no sense. Pillars jutted out of the water in some areas, and many open areas lacked ledges for me to hoist onto. Light came from irregular angles, leaving some areas in darkness. I knew I should turn back. I had been walking for hours, and I was starting to get tired. But I couldn't help but feel drawn to the Poolrooms. There was something about them that was both alluring and unsettling. The water in the Poolrooms was constantly rippling, even though it was undisturbed. The source of this rippling was unknown, but I had a feeling it was something more than just the wind. The sound of the water was also strange. It was never quite the same, sometimes quiet and calming, other times obtrusive and drowning out other sounds. I was starting to get paranoid. I felt like I was being watched. I kept turning around, expecting to see something lurking in the shadows. But there was nothing there. I was about to give up and turn back when I saw it. A staircase, descending into the darkness of the water. I hesitated for a moment, then started down the stairs. The water grew deeper as I descended, until it was up to my chest. I could feel the coldness seeping into my bones. I kept going, my heart pounding in my chest. Finally, I reached the bottom of the stairs. I was in a large, open room. The walls were lined with pillars, and the water was so deep that I couldn't see the bottom. I stood there for a moment, taking it all in. Then I heard it. A sound coming from the darkness. It was a low, guttural growl. I turned around and ran. I didn't know where I was going, but I had to get out of there. I ran up the stairs, the water splashing around me. I burst out of the Poolrooms and into the hallway. I kept running, until I finally reached the exit. I stumbled out into the sunlight, gasping for air. I looked back at the Poolrooms, but they were gone. The hallway was empty. I had no idea what I had just seen, but I knew I would never forget it. The Poolrooms are a dangerous and mysterious place. It is not recommended to explore this level without proper equipment and preparation. Those who do venture into The Poolrooms should be prepared for anything, including the possibility of getting lost, drowning, or encountering strange and dangerous entities.
